Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

Talented African students have the opportunity to pursue their academic goals every year thanks to the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship. These students, who are frequently from disadvantaged families, have exceptional talent but insufficient resources to pursue their academic objectives. The Mastercard Foundation wants to give the African youth the opportunity to study in USA, Canada, Germany and other parts of the worlds. become leaders who can propel socioeconomic transformation and community development because it recognizes the transforming power of education. The initiative provides scholars with all-encompassing financial, social, and academic assistance, which includes housing, books, and other necessities. Scholars may also be eligible for additional perks, which differ depending on the school and area of study.

Working with multiple universities and institutions, the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship program is divided into three categories: Master’s Studies, Undergraduate Studies, and Secondary Education.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to: Talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in select regions of the world.
  • Applicants seeking admission to the Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree program must be aged 29 or youngers and those going for the Graduate(Masters)must be 35 or younger at the time of their application.
  • Applicants must demonstrate significant financial need and a strong commitment to academic excellence and leadership.
  • A proven record of academic achievement and potential to succeed in higher education.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:

The MasterCard Foundation has committed $500 million to education 15,000 African Scholars for secondary, undergraduate and Masters levels, who are committed to giving back to their communities and contributing to the social development and economic growth in their countries of origin.
